THE HYPER-REALISTIC MINERALS OF CARLY WAITO

Carly Waito is a painter, born in 1981, and currently based in Toronto. Inspired by the natural world, she especially focuses on geology in wich she finds a way to combine his other interest in geometry with the ideas of wonder and curiosity. Carly Waito works with oil paint, after having photgraphed minerals in macroscopic details. In his homage to the nature, the painter plays with the human faculty to marvel at her beauties.
