Sakura Capsule Collection

Maison Kitsuné unveiled an exclusive capsule collection for the first anniversary of their first boutique in Tokyo. The clothes refers to the blooming of cherry blossoms – called "sakura", one of the most important Japanese traditional custom.

Opening Café Kitsuné Paris

After the successful launch of Café Kitsuné Tokyo in 2013, Maison Kitsuné is thrilled to open the Café Kitsuné Paris on January 17th 2014. In 2013 Maison Kitsuné is one of the designers invited to Pitti W n.11. At their Florentine "Show Business" event Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki present the Autumn-Winter 2013 women's collection. This first Maison Kitsuné presentation is a truly creative experience, blending music and fashion.

Opening Tokyo

The international expansion of Maison Kitsuné continues with the opening of its first two pied-à-terres in Tokyo in the Aoyama district. It’s composed of two quite distinct sites: one address dedicated to the ready-to-wear collections and another, which welcomes the first Café Kitsuné.

Opening NYC

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Maison Kitsuné opens its first New York address. Situated on the ground floor of the NoMad Hotel at 28th Street and Broadway, this 200 m2 Haussmannian inspired boutique injects all its nobility into the brand's way of life.

J.M. Weston 1st Collaboration

Maison Kitsuné got its hands on J.M. Weston’s classics to create three new interpretations of their iconic models. They bring together their taste for the timeless “preppy” style and the luxurious materials to create meticulous detail.

Maison Kitsuné pops up in Colette

Boutique Maison Kitsuné is an international project which tours around various cities worldwide, identifying the most interesting and avant-garde places, to then collaborate on setting up a temporary shop and a series of events around it.

2008

Store opening in Paris

The first Maison Kitsuné boutique opens at 52, rue de Richelieu in the 1st arrondissement, Paris, in a unique 50 m2 venue located just by the gardens of the Palais Royal.

2007

Pierre Hardy Collaboration

Maison Kitsuné collaborated with Pierre Hardy to reinterpret his classic “desert boots”. Made of suede upper and a gum sole, this shoe has horns; grey stitching features and shapes that one would only expect from French craftsmanship.

First ready to wear collection

The first Maison Kitsuné ready‐to-wear collection is shown at the Palais de Tokyo. Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, unveil a contemporary vision of fashion influenced by Paris and Tokyo. Trying to achieve perfect balance between tradition and modernity,chic and laid-back.

2002

Birth of Maison Kitsuné

Under the impulse of Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, Maison Kitsuné first comes to light in 2002. A trip to Japan inspires them to bring their passions together around a single concept: a structure with multiple guises, a one-of-a-kind, uniting fashion, music and design. The name Kitsuné, meaning "fox" in Japanese and a symbol of versatility, struck them as the most obvious choice.
